Is your company growing in the right way?

In biotech, sales are not the most efficient indicator, so we want to share with you six keys that will let you know if your #biotech company is on the right track.

  1. Establish good and correct commercial links. All advice and interaction can be in the future a transaction with a potential customer.
  2. Apply and mature the technology. Laboratory experiments are not the same as field studies or pilot tests. The progress of technology development is a determining indicator for your venture.
  3.  Prioritize corporate development. Forming a board of directors that adds value, having a clear organizational chart, linking properly with collaborators and strategic partners means to be maturing as a company.
  4. Build an intellectual property strategy. It is not only about being patented (which includes brands, know-how, industrial secrets), but also about understanding themselves, their science and business strategy, in order to be able to operate and compete in competitive and highly regulated markets such as the biomedical ones.
  5. Surround yourself with a good team. Companies must promote the autonomy and development of their leaders and ensure that the founders are not a limiting factor in the growth of the company. Ask yourself some questions: Are they delegating enough? Are the key areas of the company being led by the right person?
  6. Raise capital. The best “proxy” a #biotech company can have is the ability to sell to a very particular “customer”: investors. Who are your investors? Do they add value to your company?

If we move forward on these metrics consistently, we have a better chance of achieving success. In biotechnology, sales are not the only thing.
