We are happy and proud!

One of the investments of our Zentynel Frontier Investments fund, microTERRA, was shortlisted among the 50 most promising Climate Tech startups in Latin America and the Caribbean by HolonIQ, a leading global impact market intelligence platform.

MicroTerra is a Mexican agtech startup that is responsible for providing low-cost vegetable protein to feed fish, reducing nutrient pollution in the water. It was founded in 2018 and has raised more than US$500 thousand from funds such as IndieBio and SOSV. It has been part of our portfolio since 2022.

How does it work? MicroTerra develops functional ingredients for plant-based foods, produced in a scalable and sustainable way. Its technology generates proteins in aquaculture farms, eliminating excess nitrogen and phosphorus in the water, allowing its reuse and minimizing the environmental impact of the industry.

At Zentynel we are committed to investing in biotech ventures with potential in global markets and MicroTerra is an example of this.

We hope to continue contributing with ideas and real and sustainable actions for the planet!
